For the next five weeks I will be soaking up as much culture as I can to bring home to my classroom in Birmingham, AL. My first stop is Santiago, Chile. There I will be crashing a generous unsuspecting family's home residing with a generous local family while I take Spanish classes and volunteer at a local school for a month. I'm looking forward to bringing home pen pal letters for my students to read and respond to in August.
In July it will be on to Peru to explore Cuzco, Machu Picchu, and Lima.
Thank you again for coming along for the fun, learning, and mishaps only I can achieve. Next stop (after a few marathon rounds of Candy Crush), Santiago. Yahoo!✈️
